This patch will revert all censored armor models of the EU/US version to the JP/KR originals. After comparing the checksums of the files, I found out only Elin and Castanic armors differ between the western and eastern versions, so the patch only replaces files that differ binary.

Known issue: Elin body not visible on race select screen. This is due to a difference between EU/US and KR clients, it seems the Korean client doesn't use a hi-res texture on race select screen, so it is missing. Character creation and game still work fine, though.

DeleteJust going to tell anyone who tries to download this. This file doesnt work, you need 1.5 not 1.1, If you download 1.1 then you will have to delete TERA and redownload it to get 1.5 to work.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply...um...it just dosent work for me, i use to use de-censor mod till i uninstall the game few weeks ago and reinstall it last week, and ever since all the de-censor mods i tried all dosent work, so yeah, any ideas?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds weird. If all of them don't work, try looking if any files are read-only in your TERA folder (right click -> properties).
DeleteAre you sure you are putting them into the correct directory? Maybe you have a TERA folder on D:\ and installed another one on C:\ and are now patching the wrong folder?
yeah im sure i have put them into the correct directory, i have manually overwritten them myself, can u explain more about the read only files? what do i need to do.

If you are able to overwrite them, then they shouldn't be read-only. I'm not really sure why all of them are not working for you. If it was only my installer, I'd assume there is something wrong with the way you installed the mod, but if it's all of them, then it could be something with your installation.
DeleteAre you sure it doesn't work? The only visible difference nowadays are the Elin pantsu and some of the female castanic models. As far as I know, the korean version did get toned down, so there are no more nipples showing on the castanic armors.
The easiest way to tell if the mod is installed correctly is to attempt create a new character and see if the body disappears when you select Elin on the race select screen.
oh btw, i just found out i had 11 files have the name censor at the end, i tried to delete them, but still nothing happens any ideas?

DeleteThe .censored files are the original tera files, if you delete them, your installation will be broken once you uninstall the patch.
DeleteThe patch has worked so far for me and my friends, so I'm out of ideas why it doesn't work for you, sorry. Since you deleted the original files, you will have to re-install/repair your installation. Might want to try to apply the patch on a clean installation and see if it works then.

ReplyDeleteWhen you reach the point in the installation where you choose a folder, don't use the default one. Use this one:
C:\ProgramData\HappyCloud\Cache
And the program will automatically add a "\TERA" to the end of it so in the end it should look like:
C:\ProgramData\HappyCloud\Cache\TERA

So there seems to be a new issue with the kelsaik gear and the uncensor mod - makes the render as grey instead of gold (noted on cloth pieces)
ReplyDeleteIf the armor failed to render (like the Elin body on race select screen), I'd say it's an incompatibility between clients.
DeleteMaybe the models are different between versions? All I do is copy the other files over, so there is no repackaging of files (repackaging is impossible afaik)
Worked great thanks man, My Elin is now cute once again. Only problem I had with the mod is in the character select screen the Elin is just a floating head.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know, but I suppose it does? From what I know, the maid outfit first emerged in the JP version, so if it's the same data the EU/NA now uses, it should be fine. I'm not playing though, so your best bet would be install and check for yourself (and report your findings :P)

As I wrote before, updates shouldn't be needed anymore. The censored armors are the early ones, the newly designed ones are the same across all versions.
DeleteJust keep using the current version, and should some troubles appear (armor not showing etc) then post here and maybe I'll take a look.
The truth is that I have long stopped playing TERA, and recently lost my backed up clients (both JP and EU) to a dead PC, and frankly speaking, downloading two huge clients prone to update failures doesn't sound too motivating. We'll see.
